Disillusioned

One of these days you read a book, you watch a movie, or even a phrase you may have heard somewhere that can affect you deeply. I read Solanin a while ago and it took a while to wrap my head around it. It's so bittersweet and has grasped the reality around us so well. Each character has a flaw you can relate to. You fall in love with them and then wish you hadn't.

Here are a couple of quotes from it:

"When you feel the tiniest bit of warmth and that disappears...do you know how that feels?"

"The fear that comes with facing something serious...the fear of losing your way back to how things were before. As time passes, your options dwindle to fewer and fewer."

That's the problem with life. You never get enough time to stare at your ceiling and try to figure out what's going on.

Fireworks are so beautiful, but that same gunpowder can kill people.

The monster who whispered, "set yourself free" in my ear...was it freedom itself?
